Seminars run better when nobody has to volunteer first. A visible random draw takes the social cost out of going first, spreads speaking time across the whole cohort instead of the same four confident students, and settles topic allocation without a queue of emails asking to swap. This wheel is designed to sit on a lecture-hall projector: restrained academic colours, large legible slice labels, and no cartoon effects competing with your slides.
Paste a class list, a set of seminar topics, or a list of reading assignments — one item per line. Remove each name as it comes up and the wheel becomes a fair rota that guarantees everyone presents before anyone repeats. Weighting is there when you need it: give a topic "x2" if you want it covered by two groups. It runs entirely in the browser with no account, no student data leaving the room, and nothing to install on a locked-down teaching machine, which also makes it safe to use with a class list under university data rules.

Can I keep a record of who has been picked?
Yes. Every draw is added to the results log on the page, and you can export it before you close the tab.
Is student data stored anywhere?
No. The list lives in your browser only — nothing is sent to a server or saved to an account.
Can I use it on a lecture-hall PC?
Yes. It is a plain web page with no install, no plugin, and no sign-in.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your wheels and your class list are stored locally in your own browser and are never uploaded to our servers. The site stays free through third-party ads such as Google AdSense, which may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies — see our Privacy Policy for details.
Is the wheel truly random?
Yes. Every spin uses your browser's built-in cryptographic random generator (crypto.getRandomValues), not the weaker Math.random(). The winner is picked fairly in proportion to each entry's slice size, and each result is independent of previous spins.
